He laughed, “One day, when we’re older and you’ve learned a lot more about this world..” he started, as he placed the vegetables in a pan, “And when you have kids, even if we cant find a way for you to have one, Anemone…” he said, looking up at her, “You’ll know how to cook even better than me. Toast, eggs and soup are all small easy things, but they open up a world even bigger.” he said, “S’how I learned. I made eggs for that shitty old man and even though I know he didn’t really like’em, ‘cos I was like what, 5? He knew it was something I loved to do for people, so he encouraged me t’pursue it.”

Anemone blushed. Rin was so silly thinking about stuff so far in the future. It made her tummy tingle and turn upside down each time—especially when he mentioned having kids. That got her the most because in all honesty, she really wanted that. Kids. With him. She wasn’t sure she’d be able to love another living soul…so she was sure Rin was the one. Since of course—dream boy number one was off the list for good now-a-days.

That thought made her stomach turn in a bad way.
But she managed to smile over at him in return as she waited for the toast.
“That’s a really great reason to pursue it…~” She mused, thinking back to what his younger self could’ve looked like trying to make eggs for the first time. She giggled softly. “Well—I gotta be sure I learn then…if I want to know more than Rin does, I really gotta step up my game! He’s a genius, I tell you! A genius in the kitchen!”

“Deadman Wonderland is a prison! It’s a place where the prisoners put on shows for people!”

“It’s filled with candy and shows! My friend Ganta is there!”

“The Prisoners do?” Interesting. Very interesting. Maybe a trip to this Wonderland would be requested with Rin later. “Are they really fun shows? With lights and fireworks and tricks and magic??” She couldn’t help but feel curious.

“Shiro didn’t make her outfit either! Shiro was eating cookies and pudding and other sweets!”

Her smile quickly changed to one of confusion and slight fright. “Why would I need to hide? Shiro is allowed to come and go from Deadman Wonderland as she pleases!”

“Deadman Wonderland?~” Odd name but Anemone certainly liked it. If it had the word Wonderland in it then it shouldn’t have been that bad of a place right? Or, well, whatever BAD truly meant to her anyway…She was a sweet girl on the outside but no one really knew of how her mind really worked behind those glossy violet eyes.
“Tell me …about this Wonderland of Dead men~”

“It’s nice to meet you too, Ane!”

“Shiro had it made for her, when Shiro moved into the prison! Your dress is very pretty!”

“Thank you~ My dress was made for me too! But I didn’t make it, I can’t do stuff like that—I have butter fingers when it comes to doing things other than piloting an LFO,”

“But wait—You say you live in a prison? Are you an escaped Prisoner??”

“CAN I HIDE YOU FROM THE AUTHORITY?!”

“Ane! Ane!” Much better!

“Yes! Shiro is called Shiro, and nothing else!” Except by one other person…

“Well then it is a pleasure to meet you Shiro!” She chirped, hopping her red heels. “That sure is an interesting outfit too—where’d you get it??”

She flinched at bit. Were they supposed to shout; was that a new thing? Might as well go along with it.

“REALLY? SHIRO THANKS ANE… ANEMEN…” How was it pronounced? “A-NE-MO-NE.”

“It’s a hard name to say I know! Sorry—Call me Ane if it makes anything better?~” Oh right, they were suddenly yelling now weren’t they? She had no problem with it as long as it didn’t give her a headache. “IM GUESSING YOU ARE CALLED SHIRO?~”

“So many new people, lately…” Didn’t matter to Shiro; it was just more chances to make new friends.

“Hello!”

HELLO THERE~
A little too loud? Nah, didn’t matter to her anyway. “You have really white hair! It’s super pretty though so don’t think that’s a bad thing! Oh—Also! My names Anemone, who’re you!?”

“Oh, I don’t think I’ve seen you around either!” Though, he had only been around for a couple of days. “Name’s Munsu, nice to meet you.” Anemone, what an unusual name. But then again, what wasn’t unusual around here?

“Well of course you’ve never seen me dummy! I haven’t seen you so there’s no way you could’ve seen me!” She laughed lightly to herself, shifting her weight to her other red shoe. “Unless you saw me when I wasn’t looking or something but that’s getting off subject am I right?” Her hand shot out in his direction, a thin grin spread across her lips. “It’s very nice to meet you too Munsu! I hope you like it here, yes? I sure do!”

“Ill make some rice and vegetables too. Something healthy to go with all that sweet stuff.” he laughed, kissing her cheek quickly before finding the rice cooker. He turned his head for a minute though, and nodded, “Sure, that sounds good.” he smiled, before setting up the rice and everything and started cutting vegetables he grabbed from the fridge.

“Ah—fooey.” She let out a breath with enough force to blow part of her hair back since it had fallen over her face. But she quickly smiled, feeling his lips press onto her cheek and she went straight to finding the sugar cinnamon in the cabinets above the toaster. She went through the spices for a minute or so before setting it all down and then went over to the fridge to find the butter as he did his own thing. It was a silly thought—how Rin was so amazing at cooking, and could probably cook whatever he wanted, and then she could stand over here by the microwave and toaster and be proud of making a bowl of soup or a crusty piece of toast. But, she wasn’t jealous of him at all. She was proud of it. She could cook on her own…even if it was a silly piece of toast.

He laughed at her comment about Yukio, “He tries.” he smiled, leaning back against the counter, he crossed his arms, and watched her work the toaster. As she explained each step, he nodded with a quiet ‘yep’ after each one, and he took a glance at the dial to make sure it wouldn’t burn, and once that was okay’ed he nodded, “Yep. Good job. Just like magic.” he chuckled. “Is toast all you want? I could make something else, too?”

A bright smile spread across her lips as she nodded. She had worked magic just how Rin would whenever he got in front of the stove. Whatever he did in the kitchen was magic…and he was asking to perform more of it! It would be hard of her to refuse. “Go ahead and make something more! I don’t care what; surprise me!” Hopefully It would be sweet though. “I’m putting butter and sugar cinnamon on my toast…do you want that on yours too?”

He nodded, helping her stand, “Yeah, I could eat.” he said, leading her back to the kitchen. He smiled softly, holding her hand, “Show mw how you can make toast.” he grinned, knowing she’d just barely learned how. Standing beside her, he smiled, “I love watching you learn how to do new things.” he said, kissing her head, “I love it when you do new things that I have taught you. Am I a good teacher? Or is Yukio better than me?” he joked.

“To be perfectly honest, I don’t like how Yukio teaches ‘coz he’s too into it.” She skipped away after a short moment to giggle and lean into the kiss. “I like how you teach…its good and enjoyable and I’ve actually learned.” Well—hopefully she’d learned something. Hopefully she was doing it all the right way. “…So, I make sure this thingy is plugged in—“ She pointed to the toaster and then grabbed two pieces of bread and put them in the slots. “And…I put the bread here and push this lever thing down and then it cooks!” She clapped her hands together and looked over at him. “Just like that! Like magic!”
